Wednesday Wisdom Session – Lean Management Training at Kpond

On 17th September 2025, Kpond Superspeciality Hospital hosted another impactful session under its ongoing “Wednesday Wisdom” knowledge series. This week’s focus was on Lean Management principles, with a training conducted by Shree Swanand Patwari.
The session covered two important aspects of Lean methodology:
5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) – A systematic approach to workplace organization that enhances efficiency, reduces clutter, and improves patient care delivery.
8 Wastes – Identification and elimination of common inefficiencies in processes such as overproduction, waiting time, excess inventory, unnecessary movement, overprocessing, defects, underutilization of talent, and transportation issues.
Through practical insights and real-world examples, Mr. Patwari guided the team on how to implement these practices in daily hospital operations to create a culture of discipline, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
The Wednesday Wisdom initiative continues to empower Kpond Hospital’s staff with the knowledge and skills to deliver smarter, patient-centered healthcare.
Kpond Hospital In Association with Happy Kids Foundation - Support Children with Immunodeficiency through IVIG Therapy

Kpond Superspeciality Hospital, in association with the Happy Kids Foundation, has undertaken a special initiative to support children suffering from Primary Immunodeficiency Disorders (PIDs) by providing Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIG) treatments.
Currently, four children are receiving regular IVIG therapy under this program at Kpond Hospital. This treatment plays a vital role in strengthening their immunity, reducing the frequency of infections, and improving their overall quality of life.
The initiative reflects our commitment to:

Partnering with community-driven organizations to provide holistic care.
Offering children and their families hope, healing, and long-term support.
We are grateful to the Happy Kids Foundation for their collaboration in bringing this essential treatment to young patients in need. Together, we strive to ensure that no child is left behind in the fight against immunodeficiency disorders.

On 20th August 2025, Kpond Superspeciality Hospital conducted an insightful session under its ongoing “Wednesday Wisdom” knowledge series, dedicated to continuous learning and workplace excellence.
This week’s program included two key sessions:
1. POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Sensitization
Led by Dr. Prarthana Shah Deshpande, Foetal Medicine Expert, this session focused on fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace. Dr. Prarthana emphasized the importance of awareness, sensitivity, and accountability in upholding dignity at work.
2. Kanban at Kpond
Conducted by our own staff members, Mr. Sammy and Mrs. Dipti Vani, this training introduced the Kanban methodology for better process management. The session highlighted how structured workflows can help enhance coordination, reduce delays, and improve efficiency in hospital operations.

On the occasion of World Sickle Cell Day – 19th June, Dr. Shraddha Chandak, Consultant in Pediatric Hematology, Oncology & Immunology at Kpond Superspeciality Hospital, was invited as a key speaker for a special webinar organized by the Nagpur Chapter of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP).
In her session, Dr. Chandak addressed:

K-pond's Kalasubai Trek

In a unique and refreshing initiative, our hospital staff, including doctors and other team members, embarked on a thrilling day trek to Kalasubai, the highest peak in Maharashtra. Standing tall at an altitude of 5,400 feet, Kalasubai is renowned for its breathtaking views and challenging trails.
For many participants, this was their first trekking experience, making it an adventure to cherish forever. The journey tested our endurance, teamwork, and determination, but the reward was worth every step. As we reached the summit, the panoramic vistas and cool mountain breeze greeted us, leaving us in awe of nature’s beauty.
This trek wasn’t just about scaling heights but also about bonding beyond the confines of our hospital. It reinforced our camaraderie and spirit of togetherness, reminding us that we’re not just colleagues but a family that supports each other both professionally and personally.
